Marriage is a joyful and solemn commitment. What better way to make this commitment than in the presence of God in this beautiful church.

To be married in this church you will need to either live in the parish or fulfill one of the qualifying connections.

 

The connections are that one of you: 

  • has at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months or
  • was baptised in the parish concerned or
  • was prepared for confirmation in the parish or
  • has at any time regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months or

That one of your parents, at any time after you were born:

  • has lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months or
  • has regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months or

That one of your parents or grandparents:

  • was married in the parish

Divorce:  If either or both of you have been divorced the decision to marry you in church will be at the discretion of the Rector who will be glad to discuss your own circumstances.

Wedding Blessings: If you are planning to marry in another venue or abroad and would like a church service of God's blessing on your marriage then we are delighted to discuss this with you.

Renewal of Vows: If you made your marriage vows either a few or many years ago and would like to renew them we are happy to help you do this is in God's presence.
