Eco Church Bronze and Silver Awards
Uppingham Parish Church is proud to be recognised as an Eco Church, achieving the Bronze Award in 2023 and the Silver Award in 2024. Under the leadership of Christobel Price, we continue to take practical steps to reduce single-use materials, cut energy consumption, and encourage sustainable living within our community.
The Eco Church Award Scheme celebrates the many ways churches across the country are caring for creation as part of their Christian faith. At Uppingham, this commitment shapes our worship, our buildings, our lifestyle, and the way we engage with the wider community.
We are now working towards the Gold Award, seeking to make environmental care a natural part of our daily life together and to inspire others to join us in safeguarding God's creation.
