On Thursday 11th April our Church Warden Richard Cole was made High Sheriff of Rutland in a moving ceremony at Oakham Castle. Richard is one of a very few people honoured in being High Sheriff twice. Richard's last term of office coincided with the Covid Pandemic, he was made High Sheriff in Oakham Castle Carpark the day before lock down and all his plans were unable to happen as the year unfolds. We wish Richard and Pat well for this year and pray that God will bless all that they do. Rachel our Rector is delighted to be High Sheriff's chaplain for the year and invites us all to join with her in praying for Richard.
