On Thursday 11th April our Church Warden Richard Cole was made High Sheriff of Rutland in a moving ceremony at Oakham Castle. Richard is one of a very few people honoured in being High Sheriff twice. Richard's first term of office coincided with the Covid Pandemic when he was made High Sheriff in Oakham Castle carpark the day before lock down and fulfilling his plans for that year was limited by Government-led restrictions. As High Sheriff for 2024-25, we wish Richard and Pat well for this year and pray that God will bless all that they do. Rachel, our Rector, is delighted to be High Sheriff's chaplain for the year and invites us all to join with her in praying for Richard.
